PANEL: SECURING B2B CONTRACTS AS A START-UP

On the panel, representatives from Government, City of Chicago, Enterprise, and a start-up that has navigated securing enterprise contracts well

PITCH: SHARK TANK FOR CONTRACTS

Approx 60 mins

Participants

  • 5-7 vetted Founders with B2B, enterprise products will pitch
    Must apply for consideration, and must be willing to drop licensing fee to $5000 for a 90 day beta-trial if one of the enterprises in the room bids on them
  • 35-45 senior decision makers with check writing authority in the audience
    Procurement directors, C-level execs, etc from mid-market to large enterprises, government, as well as VCs in the Chicagoland area
  • Decision makers in the room can bid on beta-trials
    Pre-approvals to get to contract that day on a low commitment, 90 day beta-trial (minimum $5000) with one of the B2B start-ups who pitch, shortening the normal procurement process. Enterprises may bid on the Start-Up/Founder with whom they want the beta-trial

  • 3-5 minute pitch, followed by 3 minutes of Q&A

SPEED DATING FOR DEALS: Closing the Contract

Private Meetings

Directly after the pitch is over, a speed dating for deals round begins where start-ups meet with the companies who bid on them, discuss what the beta-trial would look like, and choose whether or not to accept that company’s bid

90 Second BlitzPitch Opportunity

For start-ups in the audience who did not get an opportunity to pitch from stage, they will remain in the main auditorium, and have the opportunity to give their best 90 second pitch to decision makers from major enterprises, government, and the City of Chicago who are in the room. ImBlackInTech will facilitate a follow-up conversation after the pitch, if that decision maker requests it

CONTRACT AWARDS

After the speed dating for deals section of the event completes, all the start-ups return to the stage, along with any companies who they have moved to contract with, and the deals are announced to the room

PRIVATE COCKTAIL RECEPTION

4:00pm – 5:00pm

Reception for attendees of the micro-conference. Transition from the first half of the day, into the evening with ImBlackInTech :: The Founders Series | vol.5 (LEGACY) from 5:30pm – 9:00pm
